In-home babysitting for one family at a time, on evenings, weekends and school days.

How we do babysitting in Heritage Isles

Heritage Isles in New Tampa (Tampa, FL 33647): Heritage Isles is a golf community inside the Tampa city limits off Cross Creek Blvd in New Tampa, with 1,020 residences around a public 18-hole course, a resident pool and fitness center, an HOA, a CDD dating to 1997 and an Envera-monitored gate system since 2024. Built from 1997, Heritage Isles has original owners who stayed and families who bought resales, so the same street can need a sitter and a companion visit. We live a few streets over in Cross Creek, on the same side of the county line.

Babysitting is in your home, for one family at a time, following your routine: dinner, homework, bath, the bedtime you set, and a tidy kitchen when you get back. We never do drop-off or group care and we never bring children to our house, and that is what keeps a babysitter outside Florida's child-care licensing rules. Heritage Isles is zoned for Heritage Elementary, Benito Middle, Wharton High in Hillsborough County Public Schools.

Since August 2024 both entrances (Grand Isle and Sandy Point) use an Envera gate system: residents use vehicle stickers or plate readers, visitors use the kiosk lane and must be on your MyEnvera guest list. Add us before the first visit; we confirm it at the meet and greet. The amenity center is resident-fob restricted, so if you want us at the pool or clubhouse with your kids or your dog, we need your fob. We do not take children to a pool without your written permission and your fob. In the rainy season the storms come through between 3 and 6 in the afternoon, so afternoon visits are timed around them. Date nights run $24/hr with a 2-hour minimum, $3/hr per additional child from the same family, and an overnight is $165/night.

Babysitting in Heritage Isles: questions we get

Which schools are zoned for Heritage Isles?

Heritage Isles is in Hillsborough County Public Schools, not Pasco. Benito Middle is on Cross Creek Blvd and Wharton High is on Bruce B. Downs Blvd; use the district School Zones Locator for your address, because zones follow streets rather than community names.

How much does a babysitter cost in Heritage Isles?

$24/hr with a 2-hour minimum, plus $3/hr per additional child from the same family. Overnights are $165/night from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. That includes dinner, homework, the bedtime routine and a tidy-up before we leave.

Can you pick my kids up after school in Heritage Isles?

We do not provide on-demand transportation services, so if your school is walkable from home we can meet them and walk home. Otherwise we meet them at the door and the homework hour starts there.

Can you take my kids to the Heritage Isles pool or playground?

Playground and trails, yes. Pool or clubhouse only with your written permission and your resident fob, and only when you have told us which kids can swim. The amenity center is resident-fob restricted, so if you want us at the pool or clubhouse with your kids or your dog, we need your fob.

Do you serve both sides of the county line?

Yes. We live in Cross Creek in New Tampa (Tampa, FL 33647) and work in Wesley Chapel, FL every day, so we keep both school calendars.
