This is where we live. Cross Creek runs along Cross Creek Blvd in New Tampa, east of Bruce B. Downs, with a Tampa, FL 33647 address and Hillsborough County services, which means Hillsborough County Public Schools and a different calendar from the Pasco schools across County Line Rd. Part of the neighborhood sits just outside the Tampa city limits: the Census Bureau geocoder places the Pride Elementary address on Lions Den Dr in unincorporated Hillsborough County, while addresses on Cross Creek Blvd itself fall inside the city. Most of the streets are open; Creekwood, inside Cross Creek II, has its own gate.
A visit here is a walk from our own street. The HOA board meets at the New Tampa Regional Library on Cross Creek Blvd, Benito Middle is on the same boulevard, and the district locator zones the Lions Den Dr address to Pride Elementary, Benito and Wharton High. In summer the dogs go out at sunrise and again after seven, because the pavement is too hot at midday and the storms roll through between three and six. The community park, tennis courts and basketball court are HOA amenities, and there is no CDD line on the tax bill here.
Babysitting in Cross Creek is usually an after-school pickup, a weeknight so parents can get out, or a Saturday when a grandparent visiting from up north wants a break. Pet visits cover the workday: a midday let-out, a walk before the heat builds, or overnight stays in your home when you travel. Because we are neighbors, the free meet and greet is often a short walk, and the first booking can follow the same week.
