Terms of Service
Draft — pending attorney review. Not yet in effect.
These Terms govern the services Wesley Chapel Care LLC (“Wesley Chapel Care,” “we,” “us”) provides and your use of wesleychapelcare.com. By booking or accepting a visit you agree to them. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy and the care paperwork we complete with you at your free meet and greet.
Who we are and what we do
Wesley Chapel Care is a household care service based in New Tampa, Florida, serving Wesley Chapel and New Tampa. We provide non-medical household services in your home: pet visits, babysitting and homework help, senior companion and homemaker services, home watch for seasonal residents, hurricane prep and errands. Childcare is provided to one family at a time.
Companion and homemaker services are non-medical services of the kind described in section 400.462, Florida Statutes. Providers of those services register with the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) under section 400.509, Florida Statutes. Once our registration is issued, we will display the registration number on this page.
Booking, payment and cancellation
You must be 18 or older to book. Visits are booked through Square Appointments on our booking page or by email, at the rates on our published price list at the time of booking. Payment is collected through Square when you book. Square processes your card; we never see or store card numbers. Time beyond the booked visit, at your request, is billed at the same published rate.
Cancellation. Cancel at least 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice are charged 50% of the booked amount. No-shows, meaning we arrive and cannot get in, or you are not there for a visit that requires you, are charged in full.
Weather. If a county evacuation order or a tropical storm warning is in effect for the service address, we may cancel without charge and refund any payment. We do not visit during a storm. We reschedule as soon as it is safe to travel.
Free meet and greet
Every new client starts with a free, no-obligation meet and greet at your home. We meet your family and pets, walk through your routines, complete the care paperwork, and arrange access. Either of us may decide not to go forward after the meet and greet, with no charge.
Access and keys
You provide what we need to get in: gate or guest-list authorization for your community, door and garage codes, fobs, keys, or a lockbox. Keys are tagged with an internal code, never your name or address, and kept in a locked box. We do not copy keys or share codes. We return keys and fobs on request and when service ends. Tell us right away if a code changes or a key is lost. The details are in the Key and Access Release we sign together.
Pets
Before the first visit you tell us about each pet’s bite history, behavior, health and medical needs, and give us a veterinary contact. We give medication only as pre-portioned and labeled by you. If your pet needs emergency care during a visit, we follow your Pet Care Authorization, including your chosen emergency clinic and the dollar spend cap you set, and you reimburse those costs. You are responsible for keeping fences, gates, collars and ID tags secure and current. We may decline or end a visit if a pet is dangerous to us or to others.
Children
Babysitting and homework help take place in your home, with one family at a time. We do not offer drop-off or group care, and we do not transport children. Children are never taken to a pool, spa, lake, pond or any other water without your written permission and your resident amenity fob. We are not a school, daycare or tutoring center. You tell us about allergies, medical needs and house rules before the first visit. In an emergency we call 911 first, then you.
Senior companion services
Companion and homemaker services are non-medical: conversation, meals, light housekeeping, laundry, errands and reminders. We do not provide personal care such as bathing, toileting, dressing or transfers, and we do not provide nursing or medication administration. When a family member needs those services, the family arranges home health care separately, and we are glad to work alongside it.
Home watch and hurricane prep
Home watch is a visual walkthrough of your home on the schedule you book, with a dated photo report after each visit. It is not a home inspection, and we make no warranty about the condition of your home. We report what we see and call you about anything that looks wrong. We are not responsible for pre-existing conditions, storm damage, utility failures, water intrusion, mold or pest activity that occurs between visits, and we do not make repairs unless we agree to a specific task in writing.
Hurricane prep is limited to the tasks on your agreed checklist and is done before a tropical storm warning or evacuation order takes effect. We do not enter a home while an evacuation order or a storm is in effect, and we do not climb ladders or roofs, install panel shutters, or board windows. The details are in the Home Watch Scope and Disclaimer.
Errands
Errands include grocery and pharmacy pickups, returns, dry cleaning and similar tasks. We do not transport passengers, children or pets in our vehicles. You either prepay for purchases or reimburse us against receipts, which we attach to your visit report.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by Florida law, our total liability for any claim related to a visit is limited to the fees you paid for that visit, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, including lost income, loss in property value, or the cost of alternate care. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Florida law.
Your disclosures and indemnity
Safe visits depend on accurate information. You agree to tell us the truth about your pets, children, home and any hazards, to keep that information current, and to cover claims, losses and reasonable costs that arise from inaccurate or incomplete disclosures or from a hazard at your home that you knew about and did not tell us about.
Photos
We photograph pets and homes during visits for your report and our records. We do not publish client photos, names or addresses, or images of the inside of your home, without your separate written consent.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any dispute will be brought in the state courts located in Hillsborough County, Florida, and you consent to that venue. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under Florida consumer protection law, including the Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act.
Changes
We may update these Terms. The current version, with its effective date, is always on this page. Changes apply to visits booked after the effective date, and we email active clients about material changes.
