Privacy Policy

Contact form. Your name, email, community or neighborhood, the service you are asking about, and your message.

Job application form. Your name, age, email, phone, address, the services you are interested in, experience, certifications, availability, a short statement, references, an optional resume upload, and an optional LinkedIn or website link.

Booking. Your name, email, phone, community or address, the date and time you want, your notes, and details about the pets or children we will care for (names, ages, routines, allergies, medical needs, behavior). Card details are entered on Square’s secure checkout and go directly to Square. We never see or store full card numbers.

Analytics. When Google Analytics 4 is active, it collects your device and browser type, the pages you view, how you arrived, your approximate (city-level) location, and a cookie-based identifier. It does not tell us who you are.

Email. Anything you send us by email, including photos or instructions about your home or pets.

We use your information to reply to you; to schedule and carry out visits; to send confirmations, reminders, receipts and visit reports; to take payment through Square; to review job applications; to keep required business records; to see which pages on our site are useful; to protect the people, pets and homes in our care; and to comply with the law.

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not send marketing emails unless you ask for them.

FormSubmit.co. Our contact and job application forms send their contents through FormSubmit’s servers, which forward them to our inbox under FormSubmit’s own privacy policy.

Square. Booking, reminders and payment run on Square Appointments. Square receives your name, contact and appointment details and payment information, and handles card data under its own privacy policy.

Google. Google Analytics receives the usage data described above.

We also use ordinary email and file-storage providers to run our mailbox and keep visit records. In an emergency we share what is needed with a veterinarian, emergency responders, or the emergency contacts in your care paperwork. We disclose information when the law, a court order, or someone’s safety requires it.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for advertising.

Google Analytics 4 uses first-party cookies (such as _ga) to tell returning visitors apart and count page views. We set no advertising or tracking cookies of our own. Square’s booking pages may set cookies that checkout needs.

To opt out, block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google’s Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on from tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. The site works with cookies blocked; Square’s checkout may not.

Our website is for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 online. Parents and guardians book on behalf of their children and tell us what we need to keep them safe, such as ages, allergies, routines and medical notes. We treat those details as the parent’s information, use them only to provide care, and share them only in an emergency.

During pet, home watch and hurricane prep visits we photograph your pets and home so your visit report shows exactly what we saw. Photos of children are taken only if you ask for them and are sent only to you.

We keep visit photos on password-protected devices and use them only for your report and our records. We never publish client photos, names, addresses, or images of the inside of a home without your separate written consent (our Photo and Report Consent form).

• Contact form messages: until we have responded, then deleted within about 12 months.
• Job applications: up to 12 months, unless you join the team or ask us to delete them sooner.
• Client and booking records: while you are a client and for a reasonable period afterward for tax, accounting and dispute purposes.
• Visit photos: up to 90 days after the visit, unless you ask us to delete them sooner or they relate to an open issue.

Square, FormSubmit and Google keep the data they receive under their own retention rules.

Use the contact form to see the information we hold about you, correct it, or ask us to delete it. We respond within 30 days. We may need to keep certain records, such as payment records, where the law requires it.

We take reasonable steps to protect your information: access is limited to the owner, our devices are password-protected, keys are stored separately from anything that identifies your address, and card data never passes through our systems. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you as the law requires.

We may update this policy. The current version, with its effective date, is always on this page. If a change materially affects how we use your information, we email active clients before it takes effect.
