Arbor Greene, New Tampa (Tampa, FL)
Gated community of 14 villages on Cross Creek Blvd in New Tampa, inside Tampa city limits, established by City of Tampa ordinance in 1996 and run by the Arbor Greene CDD, with a lakeside community center, two pools, eight clay tennis courts and a gatehouse staffed 24 hours a day.
What a visit looks like in Arbor Greene
Arbor Greene sits on Cross Creek Blvd between Bruce B. Downs Blvd and Morris Bridge Rd in New Tampa (Tampa, FL 33647), inside the City of Tampa and governed by the Arbor Greene CDD, created by a 1996 city ordinance. The front gatehouse is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week by attendants under contract with the CDD. Residents use a barcode lane; everyone else goes through the visitor lane and is logged in, and guests need a pass, issued through the CDD's online visitor system or by the attendant, which means we have to be listed on your account. Six of the 14 villages have their own internal gates as well.
The community center at 18000 Arbor Greene Dr is card access: a resort pool, a junior Olympic fitness pool, a fitness room and studio, eight Har-Tru clay courts and two pickleball courts. Animals other than service animals are not allowed in the pool areas or the fitness rooms, so dog walks here are village sidewalks, and there are more than twenty miles of them. In summer the walks go at sunrise and after 7 p.m., because the middle of the day is hot and the storms come through between 3 and 6. We are a few streets over in Cross Creek, so early and late slots are easy for us.
For home watch, the staffed gate helps: the attendant logs every visitor, and your walk-through gets a same-day photo report of doors and windows, A/C, water, lanai and mail. For families, the Hillsborough County Public Schools locator puts Arbor Greene in the Hunter's Green Elementary, Benito Middle and Wharton High zones; Benito is right on Cross Creek Blvd. Arbor Greene is Hillsborough County, not Pasco, so its school calendar is Hillsborough's, which matters when you are lining up a sitter for a teacher workday that the other side of the county line does not have.
We live a few streets over in Cross Creek, on the same side of the county line.
Getting in
The front gatehouse is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week by attendants under contract with the CDD. Vehicles without a resident barcode use the visitor lane and are logged in; guests get a pass through the CDD's online visitor management system or from the attendant and must be listed on your account. List us on your account before the first visit, and tell us if your village is one of the six with an internal gate.
Amenities and who can use them
The amenity center is resident-fob restricted, so if you want us at the pool or clubhouse with your kids or your dog, we need your fob.
