West Meadows in New Tampa (Tampa, FL 33647): West Meadows is a 1,400-plus-acre master-planned community of twelve villages between Bruce B. Downs Blvd and I-75 in New Tampa, with Clark Elementary inside it, a community center and pool on New Tampa Blvd, and a CDD (TPOST Area 7) alongside the property owners association. Family dogs and cats across twelve villages; midday let-outs on workdays and overnights in your home when you travel; summer walks at sunrise and after 7 p.m. We live a few streets over in Cross Creek, on the same side of the county line.
A pet visit here is a full 30 or 60 minutes: out, fed, watered, walked, played with, and a photo sent before we leave. In summer the walks are at sunrise and after 7 p.m., because the pavement on a New Tampa sidewalk at 2 p.m. in July is too hot for paws, and in the rainy season the storms come through between 3 and 6 in the afternoon, so afternoon visits are timed around them. A midday visit in summer is a shaded potty break and fresh water, not a long walk.
