What a visit looks like in Pebble Creek
Pebble Creek is the oldest neighborhood in New Tampa and the one community in this group that is not inside the Tampa city limits: it is a census-designated place in unincorporated Hillsborough County with a Tampa, FL 33647 mailing address, so it is served by Hillsborough County rather than the City of Tampa. The golf course on Regents Park Dr opened in 1967 and closed for good on July 31, 2021; a rezoning to build homes on it was denied by the county commission in 2023, and what happens to that land is still an open question.
There is no gate. Pebble Creek streets are public county roads, the former golf club and its restaurant were open to the public, and residents describe it as one of the few non-gated communities in New Tampa. The Pebble Creek Homeowners Association of Hillsborough County runs the pool, community center, tennis and basketball courts and playgrounds, and the Pebble Creek Village HOA covers the Village section. There is no CDD for Pebble Creek on the Hillsborough County district roster, so the HOA dues are the only association bill.
Most of our Pebble Creek work is for the original owners, people who have been on these streets for decades and want to stay: company and conversation, a meal made at home, light housekeeping, laundry, errands and accompaniment to appointments, plus respite for the spouse who handles everything else. Pet visits fit the same households, and we are only a short drive from Cross Creek, so a standing midday let-out is easy to hold. Summer walks happen at sunrise and after 7 p.m., because of the pavement heat and the 3-to-6 p.m. storms.
We live a few streets over in Cross Creek, on the same side of the county line.
Getting in
Pebble Creek is not gated; its streets are public county roads, and no code or guest list is needed for a visit.
Amenities and who can use them
The amenity center is resident-fob restricted, so if you want us at the pool or clubhouse with your kids or your dog, we need your fob.
