Easton Park, New Tampa (Tampa, FL)

What a visit looks like in Easton Park

Easton Park is the original section of K-Bar Ranch, west of Morris Bridge Rd and just north of Pride Elementary at the north edge of New Tampa (Tampa, FL 33647). It is inside the City of Tampa: the city approved the planned development in 2004 and created the Easton Park CDD in 2006, and the CDD's own engineer's report describes about 600 homes built in three phases on roughly 344 acres just south of the Pasco line. The CDD keeps the ponds, the entry features and two neighborhood parks; the amenity center, pool and parking lot belong to the HOA.

We are careful about the gate here. The CDD's facilities report lists main entry signage and four neighborhood entry features, not a gatehouse, while some listings call Easton Park gated; rather than guess, we confirm how to reach your street at the free meet and greet. The two parks make good short loops for a dog: about 4.7 acres beside the amenity center on Pictorial Park Dr and about 2 acres with a playground on Ancient Futures Dr. Ponds are for residents and their guests through the proper access points, so walks stay on the streets and park paths, at sunrise and after 7 p.m. in summer.

Easton Park is a young-family neighborhood in the Hillsborough County school district, and the district locator puts an Easton Park Phase 1 address in the Heritage Elementary, Benito Middle and Wharton High zones, on the Hillsborough calendar rather than Pasco's just up the road. Babysitting here is at your house, with the park and playground as the outing, and it starts with a free meet and greet. We live in Cross Creek, so an early-release-day routine or a 6:30 a.m. dog walk before the pavement heats up is easy to keep, and the Heritage Isles clubhouse on Plantation Bay Dr, where the CDD board meets, is the landmark most people know.

We live a few streets over in Cross Creek, on the same side of the county line.

HOA-owned amenity center with poolpark of about 4.7 acres beside the amenity center on Pictorial Park Drpark of about 2 acres with a playground on Ancient Futures DrCDD-maintained entry features and landscaped medians

The amenity center is resident-fob restricted, so if you want us at the pool or clubhouse with your kids or your dog, we need your fob.

Easton Park questions

The gate, the schools, the amenities and what a visit looks like here.

Is Easton Park gated?

We have not confirmed a gate. The Easton Park CDD's facilities report lists entry signage, parks and an HOA amenity center but no gatehouse, and some real estate listings describe the community as gated. We confirm how to reach your street at the free meet and greet instead of guessing.

Which schools are Easton Park kids zoned for?

The Hillsborough County Public Schools locator assigns an Easton Park Phase 1 address to Heritage Elementary, Benito Middle and Wharton High. Easton Park is in Hillsborough County, so it follows Hillsborough's calendar, not Pasco's. Boundaries can change, so check your own address in the locator.

Where can a sitter or dog walker go in Easton Park?

Two CDD parks: about 4.7 acres next to the amenity center on Pictorial Park Dr and a 2-acre park with a playground on Ancient Futures Dr. The amenity center and pool are HOA property for residents, so pool time is something you arrange. Ponds are for residents and their guests only.

Is Easton Park in the City of Tampa?

Yes. The Easton Park CDD was created by City of Tampa Ordinance 2006-136 and its land lies entirely within the city, in Hillsborough County; the mailing address is Tampa, FL 33647. The Pasco county line is just north, which is why school calendars differ from the neighbors up the road.
